Religucation?

Is it possible to combine religion and education in our public school system?
Religucation?

Public Faith Based Schools & Students Initiative

Currently private faith based schools are producing higher grades, more scholars, and less criminals than that of public schools in the same basic geographic region as the private schools.  Private faith based schools represent SAT scores at over 80 points higher on average than that of public schools.  These same faith based school consist of about 12% of the total students in the American school system, however they are producing almost 40% of the top college students.  The secular community bases these results on the fact that students in private faith based schools come from affluent families that can afford additional help per student, and parents are able to spend more time with their children to help increase their production in the school environment.  What if we were able to create a test bed of faith-based public schools, with students from none affluent families, to prove that this secular argument holds no water?

Home 1st Foundation has created an initiative to do this very thing. You may ask, how can we create a public school that includes God?  Haven’t Atheists successfully removed God from our public school systems starting back in 1963, and this has been a fight that has been removing God more and more ever since? The answer is Yes, this has been a fight that believers in God have been losing, and the federal government has taken a position to not allow God in any school that they are funding.  The way we are going to counter act this is by taking schools back into the control of the private sector.  In the past, schools were controlled and funded by private citizens, local companies and the churches.   If and when the government supplied funds, it was a small portion of the total funds needed to support the school.  However over time the federal funds increased, making it so that the private sector began to reduce funding, and schools became dependent on the government.  Home 1st intends to create public schools that are privately funded so that the children in the community are able to attend a faith based school system similar to that of a private school, without the private school tuitions for attendance. We are currently raising funds and interviewing to create Christian based public schools and their curriculum.

This program will be expanded to incorporate any Judeo-Christian faith based non-denominational religion.  There will be a variety of campuses for Christian, Catholic and Jewish Americans to attend, and scholarships to existing faith based private schools.  It is the goal of the Home 1st Foundation to open its first public faith based Christian school grades K-5 in the South Bay Area (Silicon Valley, CA) by or before 2015.  It is our intention to follow the K-12 school opening with grades 6-8 by 2016, and grades 9-12 by 2018.  Depending on funding and support this timeline may be accelerated by 2+ years, and other Judeo-Christian based schools will open as quickly as possible thereafter.

Home 1st Foundation is developing the MyGrade system to reduce the cost per student each year, and to be able to track each individual student’s progress.  This system will also allow for pre-screened sponsors/advertisers to direct market and help support sustainability funding throughout the school years.  Prior to the school opening we will be looking for assistance through Contributions, Donations and Grants made by individuals, corporations, churches, and non-profit foundations.  Post school opening we will continue these forms of fund raising, but also include, advertising, sponsorships, and fundraisers.   A full Grant Proposal can be found as a .pdf link on this page.
